Avondale, LA – (October 17, 2016) The second half of the 2016 Trans Am Series season provided Paul Fix and the #50 Stopflex/ClassicTube/CarCoach/Techron Chevrolet Corvette the chance to showcase the driver and team?s exuberance to succeed in parlaying their efforts into a championship. Fix once again dominated on track at NOLA Motorsports Park, coming away victorious and now standing but one point away from taking home the champion?s trophy with only two events remaining on the schedule.
?We prefer to come into each race weekend unassuming,? said Fix. ?My team and I fully understand what needs to be accomplished at the remaining events. We intend to stay the course, mind our own business and let the race results speak for themselves.?
Fix has been a force to be reckoned with as of late, winning two of the last three events and racking up points while other championship contenders experience miscues. The positive momentum has allowed Fix to leap forward in the points and now pressure the point standings leader the last two races.
Said Fix, ?This second half of the season has really become ours to own. My crew keeps providing me with a solid fast car which shows in our results. We will keep our collective heads down, head to COTA and Daytona full knowing they have to beat us to take it away from us.?
The next stop on the 2016 tour will be COTA, a circuit Fix knows well and has had success at. Followed by the season finale at the high bank roval of Daytona.
?I am looking forward to these last two rounds of the schedule,? said Fix. ?I anticipate accumulating the required points to achieve our first Trans Am championship. We are focused and determined to see it through.??
