Williamsville, NY (October 6, 2015) – Coming off his second consecutive victory at Virginia International Raceway two weeks ago, Paul Fix and the #4 Stopflex.com/CarCoach/RoyalPurple/Well-Worth Chevrolet Corvette look to take full advantage of the three remaining events on the 2015 schedule to advance into first place in the season standings enroute to a 2015 Trans Am Series Championship. Only a 14 point deficit to first in the standings stands between Fix and the champion’s Trigon Trophy.
“Winning at VIR really helped propel us into the heat of the battle for the championship,” said Fix. “These next three races will play a pivotal role in completing the task of winning the championship. I fully expect to surge ahead in the standings and close out the season with more victories.”
Fix and the Trans Am series will visit NOLA Motorsports Park this week. The stop on the calendar marks the series’ first ever visit to the facility. A new track provides another chance to showcase a champion’s poise.
Said Fix, “I do not foresee any issues getting down to business at NOLA. I have studied the challenging flat track and the Tony Ave Racing crew does a fantastic job of turning my feedback into a fast racecar.”
Fix’s success this season has come from staying at arm’s length from potential trouble. There will be no deviation from that game plan.
“The team and I arrive at every event with the same intentions: to mind our own business,” said Fix. “We will continue to put down fast laps, run at the front and nab every point available to us and be the car to beat every weekend.”
The weekend of on-track activities commences on Friday, October 9th at 10:45AM CT for practice session one. Later on Friday, Fast Five Qualifying at 3:30PM CT. Saturday offers practice session two at 10:20AM CT. The weekend will conclude with Sunday’s 37 laps of racing with the green flag set to wave at 12:45PM CT.
