Williamsville, NY – (October 13, 2016) Paul Fix and the #50 Stopflex/ClassicTube/CarCoach/Techron Chevrolet Corvette left the Homestead-Miami Speedway event netting another top five placement and achieving more points towards the 2016 Trans Am Series championship. Fix is now slotted third in the points standings, as the top two placements are tied in points. Fix chiseled the deficit down to being just eight points out of the top spot.
Said Fix of the Homestead-Miami event, “While the weekend at Homestead-Miami didn’t turn out exactly to plan, we came away satisfied with a fourth place finishing position while gaining two more points in the championship.”
This weekend brings Fix and crew to the NOLA Motorsports Park for round ten, an event Fix finished second in 2015 en route to establishing a new track record. Once again Fix foresees favorable results.
With but three races left to procure a champion’s trophy, Fix and the Tony Ave Racing crew remain steadfast in their objective.
“I’m looking forward to getting back in the StopFlex Corvette only a few days after Homestead and while I know that NOLA is challenging track, it seems to match my skill set. I hope to repeat last year’s performance and keep this late season momentum going, by coming away with a win,” said Fix.
The NOLA event provides for another quick paced two days of track action. Friday’s schedule will have Practice One at 11:30AM CT, with One Shot Qualifying at 5:00PM CT. Saturday’s 37 laps of racing will go green at 11:30AM CT.
