Austin, TX (November 4, 2015) – ?With only two events remaining on the 2015 Trans Am schedule, Paul Fix and ?the #4 Stopflex.com/CarCoach/RoyalPurple/Well-Worth Chevrolet Corvette roll into the Circuit of The Americas eleven points away from a season championship. Fix comes to COTA with past experience and a previous national championship under his belt in the SVRA Trans Am class.? The No. 4 team will undoubtedly be the car to bet this weekend.
?I am looking forward to the weekend and getting another win and a step closer to my first Trans Am championship,? said Fix. ?I have numerous laps around the circuit and know its nuisances to go fast.?
With Mother Nature possibly playing a role in this weekend?s activities, Fix relishes the chance to once again showcase his diversity behind the controls. Fix isn?t concerned with the challenges that await.
?This is what we prepare for, to be the dominating car regardless of the situation. I have complete confidence in my Tony Ave Racing crew. Everyone is very aware of the pivotal role the final two races play in our pursuit of the Trigon Trophy,? said Fix.
Fix erased some of the points deficit at the previous race at NOLA with another podium results. Fix led most of the laps and set a new track record during the event. An encounter with a slower car impeded Fix?s chances of overall victory. However, Fix is focused and determined to redeem himself.
?As I have always maintained throughout the season, I intend to run upfront and let the others fend for themselves. There is ample opportunity remaining to secure the necessary points. We?ll be there at the end when it matters,? said Fix.
The weekend schedule will see practice at 11:15 AM ? 11:45 AM Thursday, November 5, 2015,?followed by the ?Fast Five? Qualifying3:00 PM ? 3:50 PM CST. Friday teams will have practice session two at 10:50 AM ? 11:20 AM CST. And Saturday?s race at 4:00 PM for 102.81 miles or 30 laps of competition.
