Williamsville, NY – (October 5, 2016) The clock is ticking on the 2016 Trans Am Championship season. With just four events remaining, including this weekend?s stop at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Paul Fix and the #50 Stopflex/ClassicTube/CarCoach/Techron Chevrolet Corvette are placed in prime position to continue the team?s upward assault on the points standings. Fix presently resides second in the standings, a mere ten points away from his first Trans Am Series championship. Heading into the Homestead-Miami race, Fix is coming off a dominating victory at the previous event at VIR and the winning momentum that drives championship efforts.

?We have kicked the door open on a championship run,? said Fix. ?The opportunity to continue our progression up the points exists in these last handful of races. The team and I intend to accomplish just that and bring home a championship trophy.?

Fix and the Tony Ave Racing team understand that consistency and wins are going to play a vital role in the last few events. Completing every lap and stepping atop the podium is a necessity.

Said Fix, ?The last few races have been good to us. While some competitors have stumbled, we continue to gain ground and absorb points towards the top spot in the championship. That is a testament to the non-stop effort my engineer and crew put out.?

This weekend?s schedule calls for a two day event and then a quick turn around for the next event at NOLA. If the recent past is any indication as to what to expect, the Fix crew are in the cat bird seat.

On track action from Homestead-Miami Speedway begins Saturday, October 8th with at 10:35AM ET, followed by One Shot Qualifying at 2:50PM ET. Sunday?s racing of 45 laps will see the green flag wave at 1:15PM ET.
