Williamsville, NY- (June 30, 2016) Paul Fix and the #50 Stopflex/ClassicTube/CarCoach/Techron Corvette head to the L’Etoile du Nord state and Brainerd International Raceway for the Ryan Companies Independence Day Classic. Driver and team are prepared to repeat their winning ways coming off a victory at the most recent event at New Jersey.
With the 2016 schedule approaching the Summer swing and the mid-point in the season, Fix is focused on taking each remaining race one race at a time and securing wins.? Maximum points and a championship in this the 50th anniversary season are the ultimate desired outcome.
?To put it simply, we intend to remove ourselves from the drama both on and off the track,? said Fix. ?I intend to run as hard as possible, stay clear of any potential racing situations and attain wins.?
Ample opportunity exists within the eight remaining events of 2016. ?Both driver and team are prepared and anxious to continue the momentum achieved recently.
?The car is always fast and my crew does an excellent job of unloading a competitive car,? said Fix. ?We had some unfortunate outcomes in the beginning of the season but certainly feel we are the team to beat this season.?
The weekend of racing will have Practice 1 Saturday at 10:55AM CST followed by Fast Five Qualifying at 1:40PM CST and conclude with Practice 2 at 5:20PM CST. Sunday?s race starts at 3:10PM CST. Fans can also view the race on CBS Sports Network, July 23rd, 12:00PM ET.
