Lexington, OH (August 16, 2015) – The Mid-Ohio stop on the 2015 Trans Am Series championship schedule provided an opportunity for Paul Fix and the #4 Chevrolet Corvette to tighten the points battle as the season dwindles down. Fix achieved just that, keeping himself out of harm?s way as fellow competitors fell by the wayside, to emerge victorious. The win at Mid-Ohio is Fix?s second top podium spot of the season and earned Fix a well deserved 31 points towards the final standings.

?I was determined to race our own race and not worry about the other competitors and points,? said Fix. ?Knowing that there was some history between two of the cars that qualified in front of me, I figured something would play out in my favor.?

Fix ran with the lead group all day and was positioned to advance through the field until contact was made from behind on the No 4 Corvette by a fellow driver. The incident sent Fix down the running order.

Said Fix, ?I wasn?t prepared for being turned around and falling back to ninth position. At that point I maintained my strategy and just kept clicking off the laps.?

That strategy paid dividends as Fix?s competitors disappeared from contention. In the closing laps Fix surged ahead into the lead slot, a position he would not relinquish, and powered his way to the checkered flag and victory.
?The race did come to me, as I had hoped,? offered Fix. ?Tony Ave and the team including our new engineer Mark Scott really prepared a great car for me. I am so glad I could bring them the win.?

The win at Mid-Ohio along with Fix?s previous win at Lime Rock Park earlier in the season, places Paul Fix in command to receive the 3-Dimensional Services Triple Shot Showdown. The award recognizes the Trans Am driver who achieves the most points from Lime Rock Park, Mid-Ohio and Road America the next event on the calendar.

The ultimate goal for Fix is to walk away at season?s end with the Trigon Trophy, the champion?s hardware. The team will take the high energy and momentum into Elkhart Lake?s beautiful and historic Road America in two weeks on August 29th.

Fans can catch all of the Mid-Ohio racing action on CBS Sports Network, with the Next Dimension 100, presented by FirstEnergy airing on Saturday, August 29 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
